Thousands raised by crematorium

Posted on 8 May 2019

On Friday 15th March, 2019, Teresa Kearney, Superintendent/Registrar, South West Middlesex Crematorium, presented a cheque for £7,000 to Raj Athwal, Executive Director and Sarah Oxborrow, Finance & Operations Manager of The Mulberry Centre based within the grounds of The West Middlesex Hospital, Isleworth, Middlesex.

Raj said “it is only with generous support like The South West Middlesex Crematorium that we can continue to provide information and support to local people affected by cancer, offering practical ways of enhancing physical, psychological and emotional wellbeing”.

The monies donated by The South West Middlesex Crematorium Board are a direct result of the metal recycling scheme run in association with the Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management (ICCM), aimed at making donations to death related charities throughout the UK.  Recycling only takes place with the written consent of each bereaved family as their needs are paramount to all the organisations involved.

Teresa Kearney said, “The Crematorium is delighted that The Mulberry Centre  has benefitted from the ICCM recycling scheme, as the charity offers invaluable support to families at their most vulnerable time”.
