South West Middlesex Crematorium awarded the Green Flag for the 5th time

We can officially say that the South West Middlesex Crematorium, Hanworth, Middlesex is the best of the best the “creme de la creme”!!!!!
We have just been awarded the Green Flag for the 5th time for 2019/2020 and have been awarded our highest score of 80+. The comments received from the judges were phenomenal and no recommendations were received. This award and the comments within the Green Flag report full endorses the magnificent accomplishments of the gardening team and their dedication to providing a pleasant and well maintained area for all the bereaved who visit this Crematorium, as well as promoting the bio-diversity within the grounds to the highest possible standards.
Everyone associated with the crematorium are delighted at this achievement and are proud to continually serve the local communities and all who have to avail of our services.
This Press Release is to inform everyone who visits now or in the future of the hard work and commitment that is shown by the gardening team and all the staff at The South West Middlesex Crematorium which makes it one of the best Crematoriums in the country.
Some of the comments from the Green Flag feed back assessment were as follows:-
“The site has its own recycling procedures – dismantling old wreaths, separating the metal, plastic and dead flowers. All Green Waste and cut flowers are composted on site – Recommendations NONE – THIS IS EXCELLENT – I WISH SOME AUTHORITIES WOULD ADOPT THIS SYSTEM.
Management is excellent, from the staff in the office to the grounds maintenance. The procedures that are laid in place are working well if they weren’t it would not be as good as it is.
Additional Comments:-
This is an excellent location which offers the public a quiet tranquil spot in a conformed surrounding whilst secretly providing a lovely habitat for the local Flora and Forna without upsetting the balance. Lots of thought has gone into the preparation of the landscape to enable the wildlife to flourish without upsetting the formal looks of what people expect in a crematorium. The horticultural standard is very good throughout and the recycling program is BETTER THAN ANY CREMATORIUM I HAVE SEEN.
I have no recommendations for this site I only wish others SITES WERE AS PLEASANT AND WELL MAINTAINED.
